Biyografi

DEVRİM TARAKCI received his bachelor's degree from Istanbul University School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 1999. He completed his master's degree at the same university in 2002. Between 1999 and 2002, he worked as a research assistant at Istanbul University. Between 2002 and 2003, he worked as a coordinator in the Neurological Rehabilitation unit of Gülhane Military Medical Faculty, Bilkent Rehabilitation and Care Center for his military service. Between 2004 and 2013, he was the founder and physiotherapy coordinator of many special education and rehabilitation centers. In 2013, he completed his PhD at Istanbul University, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. In the same year, he started to work as an assistant professor at Istanbul Medipol University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. He founded the Occupational Therapy Department of the same faculty in 2014 and is still working as the head of the department. He worked on pediatric physiotherapy and occupational therapy, special education and rehabilitation practices throughout her career. He carried out his first Techno Therapy studies with Nintendo Wii, which he started to work with in 2008. He made and published the first studies in Turkey with Video-Based Games for children with Cerebral Palsy, which he chose as the subject of his doctoral thesis. It continues its technological rehabilitation works by supporting it with TÜBİTAK Projects and scientific publications. Tarakcı, who has supervised 35 master's theses in his field, continues his studies on technological solutions in Pediatric Rehabilitation in collaboration with many engineers from different universities. He has received a Pediatric Bobath Course and has an internationally valid certificate. He has publications scanned in many international indexes. He continues to carry out projects with physiotherapy, occupational therapy and technological rehabilitation. He lectures in pediatric physiotherapy and occupational therapy.
