Abstract

In this paper, testing and measurement capabilities for standard based WiMAX signals within a measurement device (like vector signal analyzer) are introduced. Digital baseband transmitter and receiver designs and receiver algorithms are discussed. The block diagram of the standard transmitter and a proposed receiver design will be provided for measurement based performance evaluation. Within the receiver blocks, each measurement point and its impact on performance measurement will be discussed in detail. In addition, some performance measurement results will be provided with detailed discussions. The performances in various noise and impairment scenarios will be discussed.
