Özet
Instrument landing systems (ILS) are critical for safe aircraft landings, yet conventional designs suffer from multipath and limited sensing precision, making them unsuitable for highly automated future aviation. Although global positioning system (GPS) aiding has been proposed, it remains vulnerable to interference and jamming. This letter introduces a built-in precision-enhancement technique that extracts angular guidance from delay shifts using orthogonally transmitted chirp signals at distinct frequencies, where embedded delay patterns enable accurate estimation of aircraft deviation relative to the runway centerline and glide path. Simulation results, including receiver operating characteristic and angular root mean square error analyses, demonstrate high guidance precision.
