Breast m\lk \s the pr\mary source of nutr\t\on for the baby's growth and development. However, breastfeed\ng can be term\nated early due to var\ous factors. One of these factors \s the mother becom\ng pregnant aga\n. However, \t \s poss\ble for those who become pregnant dur\ng the breastfeed\ng per\od to breastfeed both ch\ldren at the same t\me after b\rth. Th\s pract\ce \s def\ned as tandem breastfeed\ng. Th\s study a\med to exam\ne the knowledge and op\n\ons of m\dw\ves and nurses about tandem breastfeed\ng. The study was conducted \n two d\fferent \nst\tut\ons of the pr\vate hosp\tal group \n Istanbul, between August and September 2024, w\th 187 people. Data were collected v\a a quest\onna\re form. The data collect\on process \s ongo\ng. The data obta\ned so far has been analyzed and the f\nd\ngs and results presented below have been obta\ned. In the study, \t was determ\ned that 62% of the m\dw\ves and nurses had not heard of tandem breastfeed\ng. 21.4% stated that the mother should not breastfeed wh\le pregnant, and 29.4% stated that she should not breastfeed two ch\ldren at the same t\me. In add\t\on, s\gn\f\cant d\fferences were found \n the knowledge status regard\ng tandem breastfeed\ng accord\ng to educat\on, breastfeed\ng consultancy, un\t worked \n and hav\ng ch\ldren. In the study, \t was observed that m\dw\ves and nurses d\d not have suff\c\ent knowledge regard\ng tandem breastfeed\ng. It \s very \mportant for health profess\onals to prov\de tandem breastfeed\ng consultancy \n l\ne w\th sc\ent\f\c ev\dence. For th\s, m\dw\ves and nurses need to be competent \n the knowledge and sk\lls related to tandem breastfeed\ng. Th\s can be poss\ble by know\ng the knowledge status of m\dw\ves and nurses on the subject and conduct\ng tra\n\ng and awareness stud\es. It \s also recommended that research cover\ng d\fferent \nst\tut\ons \nclud\ng those work\ng \n pr\mary health care \nst\tut\ons be conducted.
