Özet
Women’s entrepreneurship has undergone significant transformation in recent years through the integration of emerging digital technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI) and the Metaverse. These innovations create new opportunities for women entrepreneurs to scale their ventures, expand market reach, and enhance customer engagement. This study provides a comprehensive literature review examining the impact of AI and the Metaverse on women’s entrepreneurship, with particular attention to business model innovation, technological adoption, and structural constraints. Drawing on studies published between 2020 and 2025, the chapter analyzes how women entrepreneurs utilize AI-driven tools and immersive virtual environments to foster innovation, operational efficiency, and market expansion. The reviewed literature indicates that AI enables personalized customer interactions, data-driven decision-making, automation, and enhanced strategic agility. Simultaneously, the Metaverse offers new spaces for global collaboration, virtual networking, digital asset creation, and brand development. Despite these opportunities, significant barriers persist, including limited technical competencies, constrained access to financial capital, digital infrastructure gaps, and gender-based biases embedded within technology ecosystems. The underrepresentation of women in AI development and Metaverse-related industries further exacerbates these structural inequalities. The chapter argues that while AI and the Metaverse hold transformative potential for women’s entrepreneurship, targeted support mechanisms—such as digital skills training, mentorship programs, and gender-sensitive financing—are essential to ensure inclusive participation. By synthesizing emerging scholarship, this study contributes to the expanding body of research on women’s entrepreneurship in the digital age and provides insights into the intersection of gender, technological innovation, and entrepreneurial transformation.
