Özet

The rapid rise of various nonhuman agents, both natural and artificial, highlights the growing need to understand how people perceive and engage with these entities. Anthropomorphism serves as a valuable concept for exploring human interactions with diverse agents, from pets offering companionship to natural disasters and robots performing complex medical procedures (Waytz, Cacioppo, & Epley, 2014). Likewise, Heaven (2021) underscores that although humans’ endeavor to develop artificial intelligence that mirrors themselves, aspiring for a like-minded counterpart, it is imperative to acknowledge that modern AI constitutes a distinct and unprecedented entity on Earth.

This research is aimed at making significant contributions to the field by advancing our understanding of how anthropomorphism influences human interactions with AI, especially in professional settings. Additionally, the research will offer practical implications for the design and implementation of AI tools, ensuring they are developed in ways that enhance trust without leading to unintended biases or ethical concerns. Ultimately, this study will contribute to the ongoing discourse on the ethical and social implications of AI, offering a nuanced perspective on how anthropomorphism shapes our engagement with intelligent systems.
