The purpose of this study is to determine whether artificial intelligence in accounting education has an effect on learning performance and whether they create a difference in students’ perceptions. The study was designed as a pre-test post-test experimental and control group, and students in the experimental group were provided with learning a course topic with a virtual instructor created with artificial intelligence, while students in the control group were provided with learning the same course topic with a face-to- face formal instructor. An assessment exam was conducted to compare the learning performances of the two groups. In addition, a survey was created in the study to measure the effect of artificial intelligence- supported education on the perceptions of students in the experimental group and was applied as a pre- test before the training and as a post-test after the training. The assessment exam results, and the pre-test and post-test survey data were compared by using the independent t-test and dependent two-sample t-test methods. According to the results of the study, it was determined that there was no significant difference between the learning performances of the experimental and control groups and similarly, there was no significant difference in the perceptions of the experimental group students before and after the artificial intelligence-supported education.
